Q&A: Why should I switch from my can of shave cream foam to Hydroplane Shave Cream? Traditional foam shave creams are comprised mainly of air and tiny bubbles. These tiny bubbles provide the cushion between your face and a razor. Unfortunately, they don't provide much cushion or lubrication which often results in razor drag, nicks and ingrown hairs. 5 STEPS TO A GREAT SHAVE Shave After a Shower: The warm water softens hair for a closer, more comfortable shave. Wash Face: Use either a mild facial cleanser like Billy Jealousy's White Knight Gentle Daily Facial Cleanser or a couple of times a week use a scrub like Billy Jealousy's Sucker Punch Face Scrub. The scrub will lift hairs to prevent ingrown hairs from occurring. It will also exfoliate to remove dead surface skin cells that can cause razor bumps and acne. Use a Fresh, Clean Blade: A triple-or-more blade is great. Most of these razors last for 5 or more good shaves. Apply Hydroplane Shave Cream: Smooth the shave cream all over your wet beard. Shave in the direction of the hair growth. For tougher hair, re-apply shave cream and shave sideways or softly against the grain. Afterwards, rinse face with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel. Apply After-Shave Balm: Your skin needs to quickly cool and restore moisture content. although it's true this isn't really a cream but like a slick soapy gunk, it does its job. Some ppl may find this odd because it doesn't foam up like an ordinary shaving cream. If you look at it from what a shaving cream is suppose to do, protects, promotes smooth blade glide..etc.. yes.. it does all that superbly.

the only thing is that I find this stuff doesn't really rinse off easily like others have claim.

Bottom line, works better than most brand out there.

I got a sample of this stuff with an order of Derby Extra blades. I normally use Art of Shaving pre-shave oil along with AOS shaving cream or Proraso Cream. The Billy Jealousy, by itself, does a nice job of lubricating your skin and providing comfort while shaving while providing a close shave. My face, however, feels better with my regular battery of shaving paraphernalia. Even after putting on my normal after shave balm, my skin felt a bit dry with the Billy Jealousy. That being said, I'm going to order a bottle for travel and for those times I need to shave again in the evening. It's really hassle-free to use and requires no brush and very little prep.



It won't be my primary shave cream, but I plan to use it fairly frequently especially when I'm in a hurry.

This stuff is just barely better than any random gel you'd get at your local drugstore. If you want a good shave, get a real badger hair brush and a shave cream like Musgo or Proraso. This stuff is too liquidy and doesn't stay on the skin, I don't understand why everyone seems to think it's so good. Go try a real shave cream, you will not be disappointed.

This is without a doubt the best shave cream I've ever used. I've tried tons of things over the years. Shaving my cheeks is never a problem. I've always had problems with my neck. If I went with the grain, I wouldn't get a clean shave. If I went against the grain, I'd bleed like crazy.



Problems are gone with this stuff. It seems expensive but a little goes a long way. I use this with a Mach 3 Power razor (the one with the AAA battery) and get the best shave I've ever had. Shave after a hot shower and I get a great shave without any nicks or bleeding. It's amazing.



I'd highly recommend this.

I bought this product when I purchased a Panasonic Electric shaver. I typically use Aveeno shaving gels; however, in a momentary lapse of judgment, I splurged on this product. The Billy Jealously shave cream is extremely slick, but this does not translate into a closer or more comfortable shave. The product costs 4 times the price of an already premium Aveeno product without any clear benefits. I personally believe the Aveeno product provides a closer and more comfortable shave. Do not waste your money on this product unless you have a personal trust fund and prefer a designer name to a premium product (Aveeno).
